YWCA WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES® presented by Shoppers Drug Mart

is an annual event which raises funds, friends and awareness for the YWCA’s work to prevent intimate partner violence and promote healthy relationships in the Bow Valley.

This lighthearted event asks individuals to take a stand against violence by strapping on a pair of high heel shoes and walking down Main Street in Canmore.

Walk A Mile 2017 will be held at the CANMORE CIVIC CENTRE on Friday, September 15, 2017.

Starting Point:

YWCA WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES® has raised $450,000 in the past eight years. In total, more than 1200 men from across the Bow Valley have strapped on high heels to take a stand against domestic violence, with women providing essential support in numerous volunteer and fundraising capacities.

This year, as part of the YWCA’s commitment to shaping a thriving, equitable society, Walk A Mile registration is open to everyone regardless of gender, age or ability.

Thank you to the participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers and supporters for making this event so impactful.
