Hugh Benham wanted to share the following with you:
On Friday, Sept 13th, 2019 at noon, along with 200 other individuals, Michael and I and hopefully other members of the family, will be walking down Main Street in Canmore to take a stand against domestic violence during YWCA’s 11th annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes fundraiser. We do this to honour our father and grandfather Hugh J. Benham who was the first Benham Boy that wore the heels. If you can’t join us in Canmore considering walking in your local event.
Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $65,000 by pledging for us “Benham Boys” at the link below. YWCA Banff needs our support to provide the essential violence prevention programs and services in the Bow Valley. With Thanks, Hugh and Michael Benham
If you are able to pledge $100 or more, you will be automatically entered into a prize draw. Visa and Mastercard pledges towards our fundraising goal can be made at www.bowvalleywalkamile.ca.
There are also other ways you can support this great event! Individuals of all genders, ages and abilities are invited to be a part of building a safe, violence-free community by registering as a walker, signing up to volunteer, or by pledging a donation to Walk A Mile.
